NBA Roundup: Warriors defeat Rockets to end six game losing streak

On Monday night, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson scored a total of 52 points and made 10 3-pointers, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 121-116 win over the Houston Rockets in San Francisco and breaking a six-game losing streak.

Curry scored 32 points and Thompson added 20 for the Warriors, who won their first game in three since Draymond Green’s suspension. Chris Paul contributed 15 points and 12 assists as Golden State secured only their second home win in eight attempts this season. Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with 30 points and 13 rebounds, while Fred VanVleet recorded 10 points and 14 assists in a losing effort. The Rockets, who went winless on a three-game trip through California, were also supported by Jabari Smith Jr. with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Paul George scored 28 points and Kawhi Leonard contributed 21 as the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 124-99 on Monday night. The Clippers took control in the fourth quarter, building a 20-point lead in the third quarter and extending it to 21 points early in the final period. This win marked the Clippers’ second consecutive victory after a six-game losing streak, while the Spurs suffered their ninth straight loss.

Norman Powell and Daniel Theis each scored 19 points off the bench for the Clippers, with James Harden adding 13 points and 10 assists, Russell Westbrook scoring 10 points, and Ivica Zubac grabbing 11 rebounds. Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 22 points, followed by Cedi Osman with 17, Zach Collins with 12, and Tre Jones with 11. Rookie Victor Wembanyama scored nine points for the Spurs, who played without Devin Vassell for the third consecutive game due to an adductor injury.
