NBA Roundup: Siakam propels the Raptors to victory over the Wizards

Pascal Siakam scored a jump shot with eight seconds remaining, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 111-107 comeback victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night.

Siakam scored a season-high 39 points, with 29 of them coming in the second half, and also contributed 11 rebounds and seven assists to help the Raptors come back from a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Scottie Barnes added 19 points and nine rebounds, while Jakob Poeltl and Precious Achiuwa scored 13 and 10 points, respectively. Kyle Kuzma scored a season-best 34 points for the Wizards, who have lost three consecutive games. Daniel Gafford and Jordan Poole each contributed 14 points for Washington. The Wizards held a lead of up to 23 points early in the third quarter.

Celtics 114, Knicks 98

Jayson Tatum led Boston to a victory over New York by scoring 35 points, with 17 of those coming in the final quarter. Tatum made 13 of 23 field-goal attempts and contributed seven assists and six rebounds. The win improved Boston’s home record to 5-0 and halted New York’s three-game winning streak. Jalen Brunson was the top scorer for the Knicks with 26 points, while Julius Randle added 25 points and nine rebounds. Josh Hart and Quentin Grimes also scored in double figures for New York, with 16 and 12 points respectively.

Bucks 118, Bulls 109

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 points and Bobby Portis contributed 19 points off the bench to help Milwaukee defeat Chicago, ending a two-game losing streak. Both Antetokounmpo and Portis achieved double-doubles with 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively. Khris Middleton scored 13 points, while Damian Lillard managed 12 points despite a 3-for-17 shooting performance. Nikola Vucevic led the Bulls with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, while Zach LaVine added 20 points and DeMar DeRozan was limited to 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting.

Kings 132, Cavaliers 120

De’Aaron Fox scored a game-high 28 points in 36 minutes in his comeback after missing five games due to injury, while Domantas Sabonis narrowly missed a triple-double by one rebound as Sacramento defeated Cleveland. Fox, who had recovered from a sprained right ankle, also contributed six assists. Sabonis ended the game with 23 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds for the Kings, who finished a 3-0 homestand.

Keegan Murray (25 points) and Kevin Huerter (20 points) also made significant contributions to Sacramento’s offense. All five Cavaliers starters scored in double figures, with Donovan Mitchell leading the way with 22 points. Evan Mobley added 16 points and 12 rebounds for Cleveland, which has been alternating between wins and losses for the past seven games.
