NBA Recap: Steph Curry shines as Warriors defeat 76ers

Steph Curry delivered an outstanding performance with 37 points, leading the Warriors to a 119-107 win over the 76ers on Tuesday, marking the 76ers’ fourth consecutive loss.

Steph Curry, a key player for the Warriors, made eight three-pointers in an impressive shooting performance that boosted the struggling Warriors team and lifted the spirits of the home crowd at the Chase Center. This was much needed after the team’s difficult start to the NBA season. Meanwhile, the 76ers were concerned about an injury to their star player, Joel Embiid, who had to leave the game in the fourth quarter after a collision with Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga.

Embiid, who had been dealing with knee and Achilles soreness, was cleared to play just before the game, but it was evident that he was not fully fit and was struggling to move freely. The decision to start him became even more questionable when he got injured in the clash with Kuminga.

Celtics 129, Pacers 124

In another game on Tuesday, the Boston Celtics managed to withstand a strong comeback from the Indiana Pacers to win 129-124. The Celtics, who are leading the NBA Eastern Conference, took a commanding 20-point lead in the first half at the TD Garden, despite the Pacers having Tyrese Haliburton back in their lineup.

However, Indiana rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Boston 37-25 and briefly taking the lead before the Celtics regained control and secured the win in the fourth quarter. Jayson Tatum was the top scorer for Boston with 30 points, and his defensive skills were crucial in securing the team’s 37th win of the season. Tatum made two important blocks to stop Indiana’s late surge when they were close to tying the game.

This was the second consecutive night that the Lakers were outplayed by the Hawks’ strong offense, following their 135-119 loss in Houston on Monday. Trae Young scored 26 points, including six three-pointers, while Dejounte Murray contributed 24 points. Bogdan Bogdanovic also made an impact off the bench with 18 points, including 4-of-9 from three-point range. The Lakers, without the injured Anthony Davis, fell to a 24-25 record after the defeat and currently hold the ninth position in the Western Conference standings.
