NBA Recap: Pacers Hand Bucks First Home Loss in 15 Games

Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin combined for 51 points to help the Pacers defeat the Bucks, ending the host team’s 15-game winning streak at home.

Haliburton and Mathurin both achieved a double-double, with Haliburton providing 11 assists and Mathurin securing 13 rebounds for the Pacers. Isaiah Jackson contributed 18 points and nine rebounds. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 30 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 assists, marking his third triple-double of the season. Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez each scored 21 points, while Damian Lillard struggled with 13 points on a 3-for-16 shooting performance.

Utah Jazz 127, Dallas Mavericks 90

Jordan Clarkson achieved Utah’s first triple-double in almost 16 years, and the Jazz sought retribution for a previous 50-point loss to the Dallas Mavericks by securing a 127-90 win on Monday night in Salt Lake City. Clarkson scored 20 points, made 11 assists, and grabbed 10 rebounds, marking the first time a Jazz player achieved a triple-double in the regular season since Carlos Boozer did so on February 13, 2008.

Luka Doncic, who had a triple-double in the first half of that game, finished with 19 points, 14 assists, and six rebounds on Monday. Kyrie Irving, returning from a 12-game absence due to a heel injury, contributed 14 points, nine rebounds, and four assists for Dallas. Utah, who have won eight of their last 11 games, dominated much of the game and utilized a 25-2 run in the second half to secure a decisive victory.

Raptors 124, Cavaliers 121

Pascal Siakam put up 36 points to lead Toronto to a victory over Cleveland. Scottie Barnes contributed 20 points for the Raptors, who had suffered two consecutive losses. RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley made their first appearances for Toronto, with Barrett scoring 19 points and Quickley adding 14. Caris LeVert scored 31 points and Donovan Mitchell scored 26 for the Cavaliers. Jarrett Allen recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Isaac Okoro and Sam Merrill each also scored 16 points.

New York Knicks 112, Timberwolves 106

Julius Randle scored 12 of the last 13 points for the New York team, who almost lost a 22-point lead in the third quarter before ultimately holding off the visiting Minnesota team. Randle ended the game with 39 points, just two points short of his season-high, and also grabbed nine rebounds for the Knicks.

This win ended their three-game losing streak, coinciding with OG Anunoby’s debut for the team. Anunoby contributed 17 points and six rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter. On the opposing side, Anthony Edwards scored 35 points and Karl-Anthony Towns had 29 points for the Timberwolves, who are currently leading in the Western Conference and had their two-game winning streak broken.

Rockets 136, Pistons 113

Alperen Sengun and Jalen Green teamed up to score a total of 37 points in the third quarter, leading Houston to a victory over Detroit and breaking a three-game losing streak. Sengun recorded 26 points, nine assists, and three steals, while Green contributed 22 points and five rebounds.

Jae’Sean Tate, filling in for the injured Dillon Brooks, added 16 points, and Fred VanVleet (15 points, seven assists) and Tari Eason (17 points) also made significant scoring contributions. Off the bench, Alec Burks scored 21 points for the Pistons, with Jaden Ivey adding 19 and Jalen Duren notching 12 points and 13 rebounds for his 14th double-double of the season.

Nuggets 111, Hornets 93

Jamal Murray contributed 11 of his 25 points in the third quarter as Denver secured a victory over Charlotte, who suffered their 11th consecutive loss. Michael Porter Jr. added 22 points, Nikola Jokic recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Reggie Jackson scored 15 points for the Nuggets.

Aaron Gordon made a return to Denver’s lineup after missing two games due to injuries from a dog bite, finishing with 10 points. On the Hornets’ side, Miles Bridges led with 26 points and nine rebounds, while Brandon Miller and Nick Richards each scored 15 points, and Bryce McGowens and Ish Smith both contributed 10 points.

Suns 109, Trail Blazers 88

Bradley Beal scored 21 points to lead Phoenix to their fourth straight win against Portland. Beal shot 8-for-16 from the field and achieved back-to-back games with at least 20 points for the first time since joining Phoenix in the off-season.

Other Suns starters, including Jusuf Nurkic (18 points), Chimezie Metu (14), Grayson Allen (12), and Devin Booker (10), also scored in double figures, contributing to a balanced offense in the absence of star forward Kevin Durant due to a right hamstring injury. Portland’s Scoot Henderson led his team with 17 points and matched Booker’s game-high with six assists, while Jerami Grant added 15 points.
