NBA Recap: Los Angeles Lakers triumph Cleveland Cavaliers

D’Angelo Russell scored 28 points, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 116-97 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers with a decisive 19-0 run in the third quarter.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were behind by at least 10 points throughout the entire fourth quarter. LeBron James (24 points, 12 assists) and Davis (22 points, 13 rebounds) both achieved double-doubles for the Los Angeles Lakers, who have won nine of their last 10 games. Taurean Prince contributed 18 points. Darius Garland led Cleveland Cavaliers with 26 points. Caris LeVert added 21 points and seven rebounds, while Jarrett Allen finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Niang also scored 12 points. The Los Angeles Lakers had a shooting percentage of 56.2%, compared to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 43.3%.

Nuggets 142, Hawks 110

Nikola Jokic achieved his 25th triple-double of the season as the Nuggets secured a 142-110 victory against the Hawks at home on Saturday. Jokic’s impressive performance included 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 24 points, and Michael Porter Jr. added 20 for the Nuggets (54-24), who have won three of their last four games and are now half a game ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference.

Reggie Jackson scored 18 points coming off the bench, while Jamal Murray had 16 and Peyton Watson added 13 for Denver. Clint Capela led the Hawks (36-42) with 19 points and 12 rebounds, with De’Andre Hunter and Bogdan Bogdanovic each scoring 18 points. Jalen Johnson scored 17 points for Atlanta, which suffered its second consecutive loss and currently holds the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference. Dejounte Murray scored 14 points, and Garrison Mathews finished with 11 for the Hawks.

76ers 116, Grizzlies 96

Joel Embiid had a double-double by halftime and ended with 30 points and 12 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers easily won their fourth straight game, beating the Memphis Grizzlies 116-96 on Saturday. Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 17 points, while Jeff Dowtin Jr. and KJ Martin each had double-digit points off the bench with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Paul Reed made four steals as a substitute, contributing to the 76ers’ total of 19 forced turnovers.

Scotty Pippen Jr. had a career-high 24 points for Memphis. Maozinha Pereira achieved his first double-double with 13 points and a career-best 11 rebounds. GG Jackson added 17 points, Jordan Goodwin had 15 points, and Zavier Simpson scored 14 points with four rebounds and four assists coming off the bench.
