NBA Recap: Bucks slump continues as they fall to Utah Jazz

The Bucks’ recent poor performance persisted as they suffered a 132-116 loss at home to the Utah Jazz. The Utah Jazz took control of the game after briefly falling behind in the first quarter, building a 33-point lead against the Bucks just before halftime and ultimately securing a comfortable victory.

Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson both scored 21 points each for the Utah Jazz, while Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 25 points and achieved a triple double with 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

Pacers 133, Celtics 131

The Indiana Pacers managed to overcome a frightening injury to their star point guard Tyrese Haliburton, who was carried off the court after a painful fall during their game against the Boston Celtics. Haliburton, a prominent player in the league, sustained a left hamstring strain and did not return to the game. Despite his absence, Bennedict Mathurin stepped up with 26 points off the bench to lead the Pacers’ comeback in the second half, ultimately securing a 133-131 victory.

The game had a dramatic finish, with a crucial foul call being overturned in Indiana’s favor, allowing them to clinch the win with two free throws. The Pacers’ bench contributed 75 points, while the Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown with 40 points. Boston remains at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, while Indiana improved to fifth place.

Thunder 136, Wizards 128

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Washington Wizards 136-128, with standout performances from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren. Despite Jordan Poole’s 24 points for Washington, the youthful Thunder team proved too strong. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points and Holmgren contributed 31 points, including four successful three-point shots out of five attempts.

Clippers 138, Suns 111

The Los Angeles Clippers had a strong performance against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference, winning 138-111. Despite Kevin Durant scoring 30 points for Phoenix, the Clippers’ well-rounded offense led by Paul George’s 25 points was too much for the Suns to handle. Six Clippers players scored in double figures.
