NBA Recap: Anthony Davis leads Lakers to third win in a row

On Monday, Anthony Davis achieved his third triple-double of his career, contributing to a 124-118 victory for the Lakers over Charlotte alongside strong performances from LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell.

Russell, James, and Anthony Davis combined for a total of 80 points as the Lakers wrapped up a successful NBA road trip with a 4-2 record, securing wins in Boston, New York, and Golden State. The Hornets, led by Miles Bridges and Brandon Miller, put up a strong fight, but ultimately fell to the Lakers, who improved to 27-25 with their third consecutive win. Anthony Davis had an outstanding performance, achieving a triple-double by the end of the third quarter and matching his career high for assists with 11.

Warriors 109, Nets 98

In New York, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Brooklyn team 109-98, with Stephen Curry scoring 29 points and Jonathan Kuminga contributing 28 points and 10 rebounds. The Warriors initially missed their first eight 3-point attempts before Curry made one, marking his 3,600th career 3-pointer.

Clippers 149, Hawks 144

Kawhi Leonard contributed 36 points and James Harden recorded 30 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 149-144 victory in Atlanta. Paul George also chipped in with 18 points for the Clippers, who now have a 34-15 record, just half a game behind the Western Conference leaders. Despite the loss, Trae Young put up 25 points and 12 assists to lead the Hawks.

Cavaliers 136, Kings 110

Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell scored 29 points and Max Strus contributed 22 to lead the Cavaliers to a 136-110 victory over Sacramento. This win marked the Cavs’ sixth consecutive win, propelling them to second place in the Eastern Conference with a 32-16 record, trailing the NBA overall leader Boston by five games. Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis achieved a triple-double with 12 points, 19 rebounds, and 15 assists.

Mavericks 118, 76ers 102

Kyrie Irving contributed 23 points and eight assists, Josh Green scored 20 points, and Luka Doncic added 19 to help the Dallas Mavericks secure a 118-102 win against Philadelphia. The 76ers, missing Joel Embiid due to left knee surgery, were led by Kelly Oubre Jr. with 19 points.
